STEAM Cardboard Creators is a summer STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math) series for kids who like to build, tinker, create, and collaborate! We will use the Brooks Room as a blank canvas to construct new landscapes using cardboard and cutting tools. Each session will draw inspiration from different kinds of architecture:
Thursday July 16 1PM-3PM | Theme: European Castles and Cathedrals
Thursday August 6 1PM-3PM | Theme: Modern Cities
Thursday August 20 1PM-3PM | Theme: Ancient Monuments (Greek, Roman, Egyptian, Mesoamerican)
Children and their adult can drop in any time during the 2-hour time slot--the last 30 minutes of each session will be dedicated to deconstruction and clean-up.
This program is not suitable for children under the age of 6 due to the use of sharp cutting tools.
