Computer Classes with Tech Foundry

Learn how to navigate computers with confidence! Sign up for any/all of these introductory classes, no experience needed.

This winter we’re partnering with Tech Foundry to offer a series of introductory computer classes. These workshops are designed for beginners with little to no computer experience.

Bringing your own laptop highly is encouraged.

Registration is required as space is limited. Please complete the registration form online or call the library at 413-596-6141. 

Sign up for any/all of the following classes:

• 12/4: Computer Basics
  • This beginner workshop helps you get comfortable with computers, covering basic skills like using a mouse & keyboard and navigating the internet. Gain the confidence to handle everyday tasks!
• 12/11: Computer Maintenance
  • Conquer computer woes and learn to optimize your system, fix software issues, and perform basic hardware maintenance to keep your computer running smoothly and avoid costly repairs.
• 1/8: Internet Basics
  • Conquer the internet in this beginner-friendly workshop! Learn to use search engines, browse websites, and explore the online world with confidence—no prior experience needed.
• 1/15: Online Safety Basics
  • This workshop teaches online safety basics, including creating strong passwords, securing information, and avoiding scams. Learn how to protect your privacy and navigate the web safely.
• 2/5: Avoiding Misinformation
  • Learn how to spot red flags, fact-check, and navigate the web confidently, becoming a savvy and critical consumer of online information.
• 2/12: Social Media Basics
  • This beginner workshop covers using Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger to connect, share posts, and manage privacy—no experience needed.
