Plant Swap!

Bring your extra houseplants, clippings, and propagations to the library to swap with others & chat with fellow plant lovers.

Calling all plant enthusiasts! Bring your extra houseplants, clippings, and propagations to the library to swap with others & chat with fellow plant lovers.

Planning:

• Only bring plants & containers that you are willing to part with.
• All plants must be healthy & pest-free.
• All indoor houseplants are welcome as long as they easily fit in a car and are not excessively heavy.
• Please bring your own box or container to carry your new plants home.

Day of Swap:

• Tables labeled "Adopt" are for extra/unwanted plants. These are the only plants that will be freely available to take home, no swapping required.
• All other tables are reserved for swapping. Set up your plants at any of the available tables. Please ask us if you need help finding space.
• Once your plants are unpacked and displayed, put a name tag on yourself and a place card by the plants you'd like to trade/swap. You can then walk around and see if there are any plants you are interested in.
• If you see a plant you like, speak with the owner and ask if they would like to trade for any of your plants.
• Be respectful to your fellow attendees. Do not grab plants from people as they are walking in, and do not take plants without the owner's consent.
• Trades and giveaways only, no selling. To encourage trading, no selling/buying of plants among participants will be allowed.

We recommend arriving on time as trading and adopting will occur on first come, first served basis.
